Merry Christmas!

Being a knitter, I have to start making Christmas gifts quite early in order to get them done in time. While I can't show any of the things I have made on here for fear of the recipients seeing the, I CAN show the ornaments I have made!

My plan is to bake cookies, and tie the package with one of these attached. Hopefully people will enjoy them! I am taking a cookie baking class in early December so I am planning on having some really fancy cookies too!!

I should have taken the picture with a quarter for reference, but if you look at the tiles, they are 4x4 inches.

Fun at the Grocery Store!

On Sunday my friend Anna came over and we took a trip to the grocery store to play with our camera's. She is in a photography class and among the assignments was one where she has to have a series of 12 photos with an egg in each one.

So anyway I had fun with my camera too! :)

Fall = Comfort Food

My brother and new sister in law are coming over for dinner tonight and I am surprising them with their wedding album. It is foggy, cold and rainy, so I decided to make some homemade chicken noodle soup (my grandma's recipe). It is the perfect day for it!

Well maybe...

When I love something I turn into a thirteen year old. For example, for Halloween I was a death eater. You know, because of my favorite series in the world, Harry Potter.

Well about 2 months ago I finally decided to give into the hype and read the Twilight books.

O.M.G.

Nothing can replace HP, but MAN does this series come close!! And so of course I once again turn 13...

What, you don't own most of your books in hardback AND audio? The only other ones I have like this are HP, I have both hardback and audio. SUCH a dork!

The worst part? THIS ISN'T EVERYTHING.

I also own a 2009 calendar, a book about the movie, the soundtrack and another book that isn't released yet, but it is a companion to the Twilight books.

See? 13.

Improvements...

You know, sometimes I get really discouraged when I see how many amazing photographers are out there and how much I still have to learn. I love photography more than I would have thought possible and it is easy to get caught up in the Negative Nancy part of my mind that says I will never be good enough.

So when I start to feel like this, I look back through my flickr account or my external hard drive and look at where I was a year ago from today. So now all of the POTD'rs get to see it too!! LOL

Last Thankgsiving (I was SO proud of this picture. I look at it now and think, wtf? White balance? focus? What do you mean??)

On Halloween I was taking pictures of all the little kids we went trick or treating with. This beautiful little Princess Leia is the cutest little Star Wars character I have seen!

Decisions Decisions!

I am going to a premiere on Saturday night, of a piece of music that was commissioned from a friend of mine for the Sacramento Philharmonic. I have the perfect dress, the perfect wrap, and the perfect shoes...


except I can't choose which pair to wear!! My super clearance Nine West or my Target BCBG knockoffs?? They are both equally cute, equally uncomfortable, and would both go great with the dress.
