My sweet man...

It seems like I talk like Crystal a LOT on this blog, so I thought I would showcase my sweet little boy today!

He is such a sweet little man. His latest favorite thing is "squeeze hugs" where he grabs you and squeezes as hard as he can while saying SQUEEEEEEEZE!!!

He is also amazing at guilt trips. Whenever i have a shoot to go to or a wedding to assist at, I tell him I have to go to work. Then he gets the quivery little lip and big blue eyes and says "but mommy I MISS you!!"

he is still so small, yet insists that he is a BIG BOY. No calling him baby boy anymore, he gets MAD!!

I love being a mom more than anything ever.

This sweet little man was 7 weeks old when Chris and I did a photo shoot with him, his mom and dad! Here are 2 of my absolute favorite images from the session! (you can tell he was looking at his mama in the second photo!)

She doesn't get it from me!

Crystal graduated preschool last week, she is officially going to be in kindergarten in August! The preschool had a sweet little graduation ceremony, which Crystal was so excited about, until she found out that she had to go on stage and sing!

She has always had problems with singing in groups, she just doesn't like it. She gets very upset and cries. But when you add being on STAGE to it, it just went downhill!! I am glad I got the center photo, that she was smiling before she realized the trauma about to ensue!

The funny thing is, her mom is a total ham, and drama queen! I was in so many community theater shows growing up, and loved being the center of attention! She must get it from her dad. :)

So today I was talking to my mom about going to see Wicked because my dad is taking me, my sister and my cousin in a couple weeks. Crystal was talking about all the characters that were going to be there and I told her the wicked witch of the west would be there. This conversation followed:

"Mommy, won't you be scared when you see the wicked witch?"

"Well, no, honey, my daddy will be there, so if I get too scared he can help me be not scared anymore"

"Mommy? If you want, you can take fluffy with you."

(Fluffy is the little stuffed dog she sleeps with every.single.night."

Family Photos...

Recently, I was asked by the company that sold us our house if we had any updated photos of our family in front of our house. This is the photo they had of us, on the day we moved into our house:



I was both happy and sad when I saw this photo, happy because I couldn't stop laughing at how little both my kids were and sad because I couldn't believe how little my kids were! :)

So I had Chris take an updated photo of us in front of our house. What a difference 2.5 years makes!

Crystal's 5th Birthday party!

This year Crystal decided she wanted to have a princess party at Pigtails and Crewcuts. They get fancy hair, fancy nails and makeup, get to wear princess dresses and shoes and get to walk the red carpet! It was so much fun and I caught myself tearing up quite a few times. I can't believe how big my little girl is getting. I know it is so cliche to say that but it is true! She had a fantastic time and got some wonderful gifts from her friends. I would highly recommend a party there if you have one in your area! Since you already saw the cupcakes, here are some highlights from the party!



And my 2 year old wants nothing more than to be exactly like his big sister. Which resulted in this picture, which I am sure I will have to pay for later on in life.

I will be writing a post about Crystal's fifth birthday party soon, but I had to post these pictures of the cupcakes that Steph made for the party. They are AMAZING. I took some super macro shots of some of the stuff and just fed my creativity basically. I had so much fun!
