So when I start to feel like this, I look back through my flickr account or my external hard drive and look at where I was a year ago from today. So now all of the POTD'rs get to see it too!! LOL
Last Thankgsiving (I was SO proud of this picture. I look at it now and think, wtf? White balance? focus? What do you mean??)
A couple weeks ago:
Wow, what a great improvement! I need to do that too.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! What a change!!! You should be proud of yourself!! :)
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate! I hate looking at "old" pictures cause they suck! but it is nice to see how much we've changed as photographers isn't it? Your pictures are great!
ReplyDeleteWow you are improving so much. I hope when I look back in a year I see as much improvement. ~Jackie
ReplyDeleteI should go through my old photos...I get like that too...a lot! I love that second photos. She is adorable!
ReplyDeleteCari
WOWWEEEEE....now that is an amazing improvement. You have come such a long, love way. I love the natural feel to it...and the skin tone is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to be ableto see your improvement. Bravo for you!!
ReplyDeleteYay, Nessa! That must make you feel so good. I think this is a great thing to do when we're feeling a lack of confidence.
ReplyDeleteFrom snapshot to gorgeous! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteWOW! you've come a long way, baby! love to see improvement pics--thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteA feel that way too, often. I think it is inevitable that we are our own worst critics. What a great idea to look at how far we've come for some perspective!!! You are doing awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the improvment of other over a years time! it gives me so much hope :-) You have made sooooo much progess! Your an inspiration to me to keep trying & learning! thx
ReplyDeleteGreat improvement. Skin tone is great and nice catchlights.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how much you've grown. I think we all have been there and it's exciting to think how far we can still go!
ReplyDeleteWhoa...improvement indeed! That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteWOW good job. Great catch lights on the second one as well. TFS
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you have come a long way! I just love how crisp those eyes are in the 2nd shot. I love doing this too cause it is easy to pick ourselves apart but when you look back it makes you feel so good.
ReplyDeleteI love your new photo! So tell me everything you've learned now so I can reproduce it! Someone in my proudphotography.com class told me that one important thing is not to delete those old, technically imperfect photos, and he's so right! I look at some now that are 25 years old, and in the irrelevant clutter off in the backgrounds are things that just bring back so many memories now. . . like the weird winnie-the-pooh decorations on my mom's old Christmas tree. . . .
ReplyDeleteCongrats! What a lot of progress you have made :-) Good for you!
ReplyDeleteGreat improvement!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you did this comparison, it really shows a lot of improvement! And, I'd have to agree that you're a wee bit obsessed! :)
ReplyDeleteMASSIVE improvement!!!
ReplyDeleteI soooo need to learn how to use my camera!
Your photos are great!
